The Brooklyn Center School Board is thrilled to announce Ariel Yang and Chukwukasi (Kasi) Okoye from Brooklyn Center High School as the selected Student Representatives for the Brooklyn Center School Board. Congratulations to both students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to representing their peers and contributing to the future of our schools!

The selected student representative will gain invaluable experience, including leadership development, collaboration, and public speaking, all of which can enhance future college applications and resumes. Additionally, the student will receive a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their dedication and service.

Ariel Yang (10th grade at BCHS) and Chukwukasi (Kasi) Okoye (12th grade at BCHS) will be attending upcoming board meetings. Students are encouraged to connect with their representatives to share their experiences at BCCS so they can be heard at the school board meetings.

We encourage students to stay tuned for updates at your school regarding the next application window. This is a truly unique opportunity to represent your peers, shape school policies, and create a lasting impact on Brooklyn Center Schools!
