I was born in Bemidji, Minnesota and grew up in Hibbing. I went to school at Minnesota North College in Hibbing for Business and Marketing. I have worked at Brooklyn Center Schools for 22 years. I really enjoy our students, staff and community.

Family: I have a husband and 2 boys that are grown up and also have 2 grandchildren and another one on the way.

About Me

I was born in Liberia, West Africa and was raised in Roseville Minnesota. I received my bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Fontbonne University in St. Louis Missouri where I played division 3 basketball.  I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University in Minnesota.  My School Counseling licensure is from the University of Minnesota! This is my 2nd year at BSCS, and I look forward to connecting with all of you!

About Me

When I am outside, I am the happiest. I love exploring the north shore and taking my kids and dogs along with me. When I was younger, I really disliked school and had a hard time making friends so I feel this experience allows me to connect with students who are having similar struggles today. I also carry my queer identity with me wherever I go and am passionate about staying active and strong with my queer community.

I have been a school counselor for 9 years. I enjoy anything outdoors and traveling. I love working with students and seeing them explore all their options.

Family: 2 Brothers, one younger and one older. A fabulous mother and I have one son.

Pets: I no longer have any animals, but love all animals. When I was growing up we had fish, dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, guinea pigs, turtles, snakes, lizards, and a chicken.

About Me

I was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Winona State University.  I moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 2001 where I attended Washington University in St. Louis and received my master’s degree in Social Work.  Right after graduation I worked as a deputy juvenile officer in St. Louis County Family Court  for a couple years before I started my career as a school social worker in 2007. I moved back to Minnesota in 2022 and that is when I started working at BC.  I have worked in many places and BC is by far my favorite place. The beach is my happy place and tacos are life.

Favorite Book: Don’t have a specific one but love true crime and psychological thrillers.

Family: I have a 29 year old son. Family is the most important thing to me. I am very close to my entire extended family including my mom and step-father, sister and brother-in-law, 2 little nieces, aunties, uncle and cousins. 

Pets: I have a 6 year old dog named Tyson and a 3 year old cat named Deaks

About Me

I am originally from Illinois and moved to Minneapolis in 2022. I received my bachelor’s from the University of Missouri and my master’s from the University of Minnesota. This is my first year at Brooklyn Center and as a school psychologist intern. Following this school year, I will finish my degree and become a fully licensed school psychologist. In my free time I enjoy going for walks, reading, coloring, and watching reality TV. I am at my happiest when I am at home snuggled up with my cat and a good book!

About Me: I was born in Minnesota but have lived all over the United States and moved a ton as a kid. I received my Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University and am starting my master's degree soon! I live here in Brooklyn Center near Palmer Lake and this will be my 2nd year here at BC!
